Bible Verse-II Corinthians 12:9 NKJV- But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. "Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

Chances are this has happened to most of us at some point in life. If you have lived long enough there will be times when you have tried everything that you physically know to try to help you out of a situation you are currently facing. Now, I could name many situations that we face in life, and they could be anything from dealing with a hard-headed child or being laid off from a job and the list goes on and on. I really don't want to focus on the situations because even though it's troubling you and has you up all night that's not what you need to focus on either. Let ya girl give you some advice! Now you may be asking yourself "how does she know what to do" and the answer is "I've simply tested and tried the process" See, I'm not here to dwell on my problems, when the enemy attacks I'm already busy trying to find a solution and this has helped me time and time again.

Sooo... The first thing I would advise you do is call on God...

Yasss!!! Call on your creator. He made you and he knows all about you. He knows what you can handle and he knows when you need back up. There has been so many times that I have been lost and did not know what to do or where to go, but when I called on GOD or cried out to him and asked him to walk with me through this tough journey, he did just that. My burdens did not leave instantly but I will tell you that they felt so much lighter.

After you have called on God, you need to surrender your life and situation over to him. Now, you may ask "how do I do this"? Lets look at the definition of surrender:

Surrender- to yield, give up or over, submit, abandon

In order to surrender you must be willing to give it completely over to God. When I say completely give it to him that does not mean  pick and choose what you want to give to him, that means give him your heart, body and soul. If he has all three then he has that situation that's been keeping you up at night, and telling you to give up. The process of surrender can not be done instantly, it takes time, discipline and growth in grace as well as knowledge that comes from studying the word of God. However, the sooner you start the better.

The last thing you need to do is just praise him. Praise him for who he is and what he has done in your life already. Praise him for what he's brought you through already and for what he's getting ready to change in your favor right now.

Praise always brings you closer to God and it also makes that situation that's been troubling you seem so small. The higher you lift him up, the more he will pull you up out of that situation you are going through. So give him the praise he is due, and be patient because things are about to turn around.

What situation are you facing? Let me know so that I can send prayers of strength your way.

There is nothing impossible or to hard for God!!!

You are such a Treasure... Shine Bright :)

A Mother's Prayer

My Prayer for My Children

Dear God,

I come to you in the most humble way that I know. I come to you with thanks in my heart for all your many blessings. Thank you for life, health, and strength. Thank you for opening doors that I did not even know was possible. Thank you for accepting me as your child, but most of all thank you for my CHILDREN that you have blessed ME with.

God, I ask that you please forgive them of all their sins. Lead them and guide them as they go through life. Be a fence around them when the enemy tries to attack their mind. Please protect them from all hurt, harm and danger, and if it must be do dear God please let it be done in your name and give them the strength to endure.

I declare and decree right now in your name that chains are being broken off of there lives, generational curses must FLEE! I bind up fear, depression, bondage, drug addictions and anything else that might hinder them or take them away from the will of God.

And last but certainly not least, dear God unleash their minds so that they will have knowledge and wisdom to lead your people. Unleash their hands so that lives can be healed by their touch. Unleash their eyes so that they can see you. Unleash their ears so that they can hear your voice, but most importantly unleash their hearts so that they can spread love. Once again God, I thank you for all your many blessing most of all I thank you for Louis, Z'ondre & Zare'A (my greatest 3 blessings) In your mighty name I pray. Amen.

P.S. That's my prayer today for my kiddos... What's your prayer for your Child/Children? Drop it in the comments box below and let's go into prayer together for the bible says where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there also!

For whom the Lord loves He corrects -Proverbs 3:12

God has a purpose for your life. YES!!! Believe it or not he truly does. Despite what you may think about yourself, and even how others may feel about you, know that you have been created for a purpose. So many times we find ourselves going through life trying create and make up our own agendas. There are so many roads that we can take in life and instead of letting God guide us we try to be our own compass. We often feel as if we have all the answers. We measure success by how much money we make (HELLO), how BIG our houses are (YASSSSS!) and how great our families look (notice I said look) and we are willing to endure any amount of stress and almost KILL ourselves trying to make all these things possible.

You see, we often think that we are in control... NEWS FLASH! We are not and never have been. God will allow us to live the way we want to live, and do what we want to do. He will give us time to try to find our PURPOSE... but when we need help doing so he steps in with his compass called "LOVE" and shows us the way. It's sad because in order for God to help us find our purpose in life, sometimes he will cause things to fall completely apart. He will break you down to build you back up again.

Do you all remember "Humpty Dumpty" you know the one who sat on the wall and had a GREAT fall... that little nursery rhyme was always so fun to sing too, that is until it became my REAL LIFE!  I can truly say that this has been my life more than once. Sometimes, it takes everything to go wrong in order to find your way back to what's right. It's the way that God gets your attention, I guess you can call it tough love, because I will be honest with you it does hurt and there is nothing that's fun about it. In fact, it might be one of the worse feelings that one could experience. Hang, in there though because the end is always beautiful!

I consider myself to be lucky because God's purpose has chased me down so many times, everyday he is shaping and molding me into who he has called me to be. As I look back over my life, I can see that it was God's purpose that was chasing me down when I was 19 and pregnant. I thought I was lost but little did I know I was being found. I thought my world had fallen apart, but it was actually falling into place! (AMEN!) I did not know how I was going to raise my child but I had to believe that God would make a way. And right now today, had it not been for that baby that I thought about aborting I probably would not be where I am today, because every time I think about giving up I think about my kids. They give me a reason to keep fighting. God knew exactly what he was doing when he placed each of them in my womb. He knew that those boys would be my strength when I needed something to keep me going.

I thank God for his purpose chasing me down! Mainly because it showed me what love looked like, but most importantly I learned about GRACE! I say to each of you, when times get hard and things start to fall apart just STOP and LISTEN for the voice of GOD! Let him find you right where you are. Allow him to chase you down. Always remember, He will never put more on you than you can bear and if he brought you to it, he will bring you through it.

How has God's purpose chased you down in life? Please Share:))
